08:45 to 15:30 Thursday
This will likely to increase in September to:

Part-time, Contract, Permanent.
Job Summary
We are currently looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, self motivated key working assistant to join our established village playgroup, working within a small friendly team.
To provide safe, high quality education and care for young children which meet the individual needs of children attending the setting.
Responsibilities include:

To work as a key person collecting observations and planning next steps.

Working alongside the parents/carers to support their child’s learning.

Abide by the safeguarding policy and procedure at all times.

To engage and interact with all children.

Work as a team member as well as independently.

To attend necessary training.

To attend and be available for staff meetings and supervisions.

To help to set up and tidy away on a daily basis.

To be flexible as and when needed.

Be prepared to work inside and outside in all weathers.

Adhering to policies and procedures for Safeguarding, Equalities, SEND, Health and Safety, etc

Maintaining confidentiality at all times
This description is not a complete list of your duties and you will be required to undertake any other reasonable duties directed by your manager to fulfil your position, ensuring the needs of the children are met and the smooth running of the setting.
Early years practice catering for 2-4 year olds, term time only. Located in the small village South Cambridgeshire village of Fowlmere.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Functional skills (English language & literacy)
Qualified level 3 in Early Years Practice. Including a good understanding of the EYFS.
Experience of working in an early years setting preferable.
Safeguarding requirement: Fowlmere Playgroup is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young children. It is a requirement of all staff that they share this commitment and follow the prescribed policy and procedures to continuously promote a culture of safeguarding. Candidates will be required be required to complete pre-employment checks including enhanced DBS and satisfactory references.
